You guys know I love me a good deal. After all, I did write a whole post on how to afford designer clothes in college. And ICYMI, that really translates to: how to afford designer clothes when you’re broke as sh*t. 

Ha!

Seriously though, I get a good laugh every time I see a fashion blogger advertising a “sale”, where her favorite picks are “just *insert absurd price here*. To each her own…but I refuse to drop $50 for a t-shirt (cue “Thrift Shop”).

For some reason, I never plan my Easter outfit out too far ahead. I’ve seen a number of bloggers dressed to the nines in gorgeous floral numbers and other festive frocks for the past few weeks, but I’m more of a last-minute kind of gal. I also don’t love some of the stiffer looking pieces — you know the dresses that just look kind of hard to breathe/move around in? 

Instead, I’m taking more of a lax approach to my Easter attire this year and opting for my favorite flowy pastel maxi skirt. It’s easy to style (#lazygirlapproved), and is absolutely killer if you’re looking for something that just screams “Easter weekend”.

In this social media age, where FOMO is becoming the complete norm, I often hear college girls envying fashion bloggers and other Insta stars for their seemingly “perfect” lives.

Along with those picture perfect moments are also, typically, killer outfits. After all, isn’t this part of what makes us girls jealous of these social media mavens in the first place? Not only do they jet set around the world experiencing the best of each and every city under the sun, but they do it in style. 

Maybe I’m just speaking for myself, but lusting after clothes that are WAY out of my budget (which I typically stumble upon through street style blogs or Instagram) is just another day in the life of a broke-a** college girl. Ya know? 

When life gets crazy (as it usually does), it’s not uncommon to find my car parked outside of a 7-Eleven as I dash inside to grab some refreshment like LIFEWTR before meetings. I’m constantly on the go, and nothing really tops this in terms of convenience. Trust me, I’m all about convenience.

Though I’m typically running around like a madwoman trying to stay true to all of my commitments, my personal health and wellness still remain at the top of my list. Always. It just has to. I know all too well what overworking myself looks like, and it’s not pretty!
