What is Nashville Known For

If you’re considering planning a Nashville bachelorette party, you may be asking yourself…what is Nashville known for?

Ironically, one of the biggest things Nashville has become known for within the past several years is that it is one of the most popular bachelorette/bachelor party destinations in the United States.

That being said, the idea of having a Nashville bachelorette party has become so popular for a number of reasons.

For one, Nashville is known for being the capital of country music.

You don’t have to look too far to find amazing live shows at almost every bar on Broadway, and there’s also a number of incredible museums and historical attractions in Nashville where you can learn more about the history of country music and your favorite country music stars.

In addition to being the capital of country music, Nashville is known for its delicious food.

After all, if you go to Nashville and don’t try the Nashville hot chicken…did you even really go to Nashville at all?

Best Time to Go to Nashville

If you’re considering planning a trip to Nashville, you’re probably also wondering when the best time to go to Nashville is.

Peak season in Nashville (what most people consider the best time to go to Nashville), falls sometime between April through October.

Personally, I loved visiting Nashville in May, because it was warm and sunny without the extreme heat of the summer months (temperatures were still in the 90s though some days during our trip in May, so pack accordingly!).

Christmastime can also be a fun time to visit Nashville to see the decorations, but temperatures will likely only range from the 30s to 50s during the winter.

Where to Stay in Nashville for Bachelorette Party

Before we jump into the best Nashville bachelorette party ideas, you’ll of course want to know where to stay in Nashville for bachelorette party.

There a few different routes you can take, but here are some of the best options:

Nashville AirBNB

For my Nashville bachelorette party, we stayed at an AirBNB.

The property we stayed at was located right outside of The Gulch, which is one of Nashville’s most popular upscale neighborhoods.

We loved being within walking distance from all the amazing restaurants and shops, but it was nice to be tucked away from the bustle of downtown Nashville.

The AirBNB we stayed in also had a full kitchen, a nice community pool, and lots of other amenities that were perfect for hosting a large group.

In addition to Nashville AirBNBs located near The Gulch though, a themed AirBNB could also be super fun for a Nashville bachelorette party.

Just check out this Tik Tok famous Nashville bachelorette party themed AirBNB located in downtown Nashville to see what I mean!

Downtown Nashville Hotels

If you want to be within walking distance of Nashville’s best honky tonks and clubs, your best bet is to book a hotel in downtown Nashville.

Though we didn’t stay here, one of my top picks for downtown Nashville hotels would be The Omni.

This hotel features a beautiful lobby, plenty of food options, and of course a convenient location.

Another ideal option is of course Nashville’s only 5-star hotel, The Hermitage.

So many famous people have stayed here over the years, and I always value staying at historic properties the most since I am a total history buff.

I wouldn’t necessarily suggest staying downtown however, unless you’re adamant about being within walking distance to the bars.

It certainly can get rowdy at night, and Uber/Lyft rides are relatively inexpensive to surrounding areas anyways.

Hotels at The Gulch

After having my own Nashville bachelorette party, I think the best place in Nashville to stay for a bachelorette party is The Gulch.

This is a lively neighborhood in Nashville with many shops and restaurants to explore, but it’s just not as loud and crazy as downtown.

In addition to the many airBNBs in this area, there are also a number of great hotels to choose from.

I liked the looks of the Thompson Hotel, which had a great location in The Gulch within easy walking distance to plenty of bars, restaurants, and of course Nashville’s many famous murals.

In fact, The Thompson was actually located right across the street from restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques, which would make it a prime choice if I were to go back to Nashville (Nashville bachelorette party trip or not!).

Simply type in Nashville in the destination box to search for the best deals on Nashville hotels going on during your dates, and then you can narrow it down from there.

I always start my hotel search here, since I find it’s the easiest way to compare different properties and find out which ones are offering the best value during my selected travel dates.

This has also helped me to find some unique hotels that I may not have considered if I hadn’t done my research first before booking!

When in Nashville, one thing you can’t skip is the famous Nashville murals!

We loved walking around The Gulch and stumbling upon some of the really famous ones (like the below #WhatLiftsYou mural), which make for some amazing, insta-worthy photo ops.

One thing that did surprise us though was that there are actually lines for the most popular murals, so you’ll want to get there early to beat the crowds!

9. See a Show at The Opry

One of my favorite things we did in Nashville during my bachelorette party was seeing a show at The Grand Ole Opry.

This is definitely something you should get your group on board with, because it truly is an amazing once in a lifetime experience.

10. Visit the Johnny Cash Museum

One of my favorite things about Nashville is the city’s amazing history.

There are so many incredible opportunities to learn more about country music, and the Johnny Cash museum is one Nashville attraction you won’t want to miss.

Located right off of Broadway, this is the perfect way to spend an hour or two learning more about this country music legend.

Though there’s a lot to look at, the museum isn’t huge so it’s the perfect happy medium between something like the Country Music Hall of Fame (a much larger, more time consuming museum) and a quick history lesson.

11. Do a Wine Tasting and Tour at Belle Meade Plantation

It doesn’t get more bachelorette than a wine tasting, does it?

Head on over to Belle Meade Plantation for a relaxing afternoon exploring the grounds, eating ice cream, and tasting some delicious wine slushies.

You can also do a guided tour of the plantation while you’re here, but make sure you book your tickets ahead of time before they sell out (this sadly happened to us)!

If you really want to get a sense of the entire city, make sure you book a bus tour of Nashville during your Nashville bachelorette party.

You’ll not only learn more about Nashville’s rich history, but you’ll get to see some of the most spectacular homes in the area that belong to some pretty famous celebs (i.e. Taylor Swift).

It’s a fun and relaxing way to explore more than just Broadway during your trip!
