“5 Things You Need in Your Life This Week” is a recurring series on HollyHabeck.com. New edits are published every Friday, and the intent is to give readers a concise list of amazing thoughts/projects/trends to try over the weekend and into the next week. I hope that you are as inspired as I am by these finds!  +++ Hello, hello! Today is very exciting, because we’re bringing back“5 Things You Need in Your Life This Week”. I started this weekly series last February (see the first edition here), but things fizzled when I started to focus on rebranding and designing a new site in the spring. Now that all of that good stuff is done, I’m pumped to reinstate “5 Things You Need in Your Life This Week” as a weekly series again, with a new edition premiering each Friday. I hope you love it! Let’s get to it ☺️ … 1. A Frozen…

If you snoop around this site for even just a little while, one of the things you’re sure to notice is my undying love for subscription boxes. There’s just something fun about ’em, you know? After all, there’s nothing I love more than coming home to a pretty pink package sitting on my doorstep…especially when I know it’s going to be jam packed with killer products (that I probably wouldn’t be able to afford on their own 😅). Though I’m pretty much blown away every time Popsugar treats me to one of their Must Have Boxes, this month was particularly special. It’s their 5th birthday! AKA, this August marks Lisa Sugar’s 5th year in curating her and her editor’s favorite items for this box. In celebration of this milestone, I wanted to share with you guys some of the reasons why I think it really is a “Must Have”. If…

It’s that time again…back to school season. It’s particularly strange-feeling for me this time, since I graduated college in May. Therefore, this is the first time in, errrr 16 YEARS (!!!), that I’m not getting ready to go back to school. And in all honesty? I’m kind of bummed. Some of you may know that I graduated college a whole year early (more on that process here), so it does feel like I’m getting a bit jipped on the whole experience. I also miss my friends now more than ever, especially knowing that total strangers will soon be moving into our little apartment we were calling home just a few months ago. As ready as I was to head for the hills last semester, not going back to college this fall feels like the true end of an era. As they say, all good things must come to an end. Annnnnnd…

Guys, how is it AUGUST already? I feel like it was just yesterday I was graduating, and now the summer is practically over! I have to admit though, I’m kind of ready for fall. I’m totally unashamed of being the most basic of #basicwhitegirls, and I’m entirely ready to park my ass at the campfire, sip on a pumpkin spiced latte, and simultaneously slather on my seasonal Bath & Body Works s’mores lotion (but seriously, their s’mores scents are to. die. for.). That all being said, there are a few things I’m loving about this month. After all, this summer has totally been the season where I’ve found the most beauty products I’ve loved in a long time. AKA, there’s just no way I couldn’t share. I actually feel like I need to do a bit more experimenting and maybe post about some of my favorite beauty brands more often (seasonally…

After traveling for three out of the five weekends in July, I’m finally home. Can I get a hallelujah? Can I get an amen? Not only does it feel damn good to just sleep in my own bed for a change buuuuuut, between convention life, birthday wine tours, and just stepping foot in NYC, my health & fitness routine has seriously gone to crap. I’m a strong believer that health is our greatest wealth, so I’ve been just a bit stressed out at my lack of activity and access to #cleaneats lately. Now that I actually have some time to focus on myself though, I’ve been going HAM on Kayla Itsine’s Bikini Body Guide. And so far? I. am. loving. it. 28 minute workouts? Hell to the yes, girlfraaand 😍 One of the things that I love about doing programs like this is that they teach me more about fitness and…

Despite popular opinion, being a 20-something isn’t actually the cakewalk it’s made out to be. Sure, there are perks (few commitments, lightning fast metabolisms, ability to party hard and not feel like *total* crap the next day [sometimes]…). What people aren’t talking about though? How about the stress and anxiety of finding a job (& possibly relocating across the country for said job)…or attempting to date (despite not even having enough time to wash your hair some days)? Yeah, being 20-something is stressful. We’re told our whole lives that *these are the BEST years of [our] lives*. Maybe it’s just me, but doesn’t that sound like a lot of pressure? How do we ensure we’re making the most out of these years, while also securing our futures, so that maybe, just maybe, we can prove our obnoxious, pessimistic AF relatives wrong and actually find immense joy beyond the age of…

This post has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and AcneFree. All opinions are mine alone. #AcneFreeSummer #CollectiveBias ICYMI, I recently celebrated my 21st birthday. I wanted to keep things pretty low key, but R. and I did take a trip up to Niagara Falls for the weekend for a little wine tour and other miscellaneous birthday shenanigans. I’m still (two weeks later 😂) working on a recap of that trip but, in total transparency, have been slammed with work since I got back. Because I’ve been so crazy busy (Side Note: Why do people ever brag about being busy?? It’s not glamorous??), I’ve been attempting to simplify my beauty routine and cut out products I don’t actually need. This has resulted in my wearing less makeup than ever before, though this isn’t atypical of me during the summertime. After all, who wants to deal with an extensive beauty process when…
