Lately, I’ve become V picky about my nighttime routine. I only use a handful of products nowadays, and I’m always careful to check the ingredients before applying anything to my skin. But does this mean you should immediately toss everything that’s currently housed on your vanity without second thought? Thank the Lord, no! My motto has always been that slow and steady wins the race. The holiday season isn’t over quite yet, but I’m already starting to look towards 2017 and my New Year’s goals. I feel like dieting and getting in shape is completely overdone. It’s just boring, you know? I’m all for getting healthy, but 80 percent of these NY’s resolutions are abandoned by just February.

Instead, I’m jumping on the mindfulness boat. We can all be a bit more conscious and aware, especially when it comes to our health. No fad diets or workout programs for this chica. My resolution is as simple as being aware of what I’m putting into my body and the energy that I’m exerting each day while also practicing conscious decision making. I’m notorious for making unhealthy snap decisions, just so that I can get that instant gratification. That’s what I’m trying to improve in the new year.
