When I first started blogging almost three years ago, I was totally clueless. I read other blogs, but I pretty much had no idea how the whole shebang worked. 

+ If you want to see what I mean, check out my first post ever…I’d say there’s been quite an improvement, no?

Regardless, I jumped in with both feet & spent almost every night for the first year staying up until all hours researching and teaching myself everything from website design and photography, to how to land sponsorships, build an audience, earn affiliate income, increase engagement, etc. 

If there’s one thing that I think almost all bloggers fear above all, it’s running out of ideas. I mean, let’s be honest…writer’s block is a huge pain in the a$$ — especially if you’re relying on your blog as a source of income. 

I wrote about how comparison has stifled my creativity in the past here, but there’s a few other tips that I didn’t note in that post that have helped me to grow as a writer and blogger immensely.

In fact, I almost never question what I’m going to write about nowadays.

That’s coming from a girl who used to stare at her computer for hours trying to come up with the “perfect” post idea.  

We all  love to be “busy” in this day and age. It’s almost trendy, isn’t it? In fact, I often don’t even know what to do in my true “down time”. Whenever I don’t have a concrete obligation like attending class or going to work, I’m hunkering down drafting blog posts, scheduling social media, planning/revising my editorial calendar, etc. Of course, I love blogging. I wouldn’t trade this job for anything, despite the challenges (and seemingly endless workload) that may arise! However, with the holidays and some travel coming up, I’m absolutely exploring ways to maintain a side gig while also saving time for a killer social life…
