Over the years, I’ve been pretty open about my struggles with my skin. I’ve tried so many products and at-home remedies to get rid of acne, but every time I think it’s starting to get better my skin somehow takes a turn for the worst.

Recently, I’ve been experiencing even more breakouts than usual. I don’t know if if it’s from stress, hormones, or what, but I’m downright sick of it!

The worst part of it is that these massive breakouts are popping up in areas of my face that already suffer from scarring, which just so happens to be one of my biggest insecurities.

That’s why I was so excited to try a few new products from Alba Botanica®. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this skincare brand already, Alba Botanica® is a company founded in 1979 that is dedicated to producing botanically-based, 100% vegetarian personal care products.

I’ve been using three items from the Alba Botanica® Acnedote™ line for the past few weeks, which is an entire skincare regimen that works to keep your skin clean and beautiful and get rid of acne by way of amazing plant-based ingredients.

Acnedote™ Clearing Gel Peel

One of the key things I’ve learned in my quest to get rid of acne is the benefit of using quick peels to effectively dry up blemishes and eradicate acne causing bacteria. I’ve particularly enjoyed using the Acnedote™ Clearing Gel Peel, because you only need to use the product 1-5 minutes per week to start seeing positive changes in your skin.

Ain’t nobody got time to sit around all day in a face mask, so this peel is a complete lifesaver. I also love that the Acnedote™ Clearing Gel Peel doesn’t feel harsh. Sometimes I hear the word “peel” and get concerned that it could do more damage to my already irritated skin, and nobody likes to feel their face burning from any kind of treatment.

I was pleasantly surprised at how gentle this peel really was, while still being incredibly effective in reducing the redness of my acne.

Acnedote™ Face & Body Scrub

I have to admit, the Acnedote™ Face & Body Scrub was the first product in the Alba Botanica® Acnedote™ line that I tried. I’m obsessed with exfoliation, because I’m convinced it helps reduce the oiliness of my complexion and encourage that glow that I’m constantly seeking.

I love that this product can be used on both the face and body, and it makes your skin feel SO soft! It’s a great tool to have in your arsenal when you’re trying to get rid of acne, and I’d highly recommend it.

I thought that this scrub was the perfect consistency, too. I’ve tried exfoliating products that have been both too harsh and not strong enough, and this scrub is a really nice in between.

Acnedote™ Pimple Patches

Last but not least is of course the Acnedote™ Pimple Patches. I’ve never tried pimple patches before, so I was incredibly excited to get to finally use them to target some of my problem areas!

I like the Acnedote™ Pimple Patches, because you can see results overnight. This is so important, especially if you have an important event the next day and you simply can’t imagine having that obnoxious pimple for it.

I’ll be keeping these stocked in my bathroom at all times for both those emergency situations and just regular use during breakouts.

Overall, I’ve had a largely positive experience using the Alba Botanica® Acnedote™ products mentioned in this Alba Botanica® Acnedote™ Review. I’ve noticed my acne starting to clear up, and the redness has been going down day by day.

I love that Alba Botanica® offers cruelty-free, botanically-based skincare products, and I’m excited to see how my skin improves as I keep using these items from the Acnedote™ line.

I’m not sure if/when my acne will completely clear up, as I know there are factors that are beyond my control. Even the best products won’t always clear up some of my stubborn, cystic breakouts, but I’m hugely impressed with how the Acnedote™ products have transformed my skin so far during a period where I’ve felt the worst about my appearance.
