How I’m Transitioning My Wardrobe for Spring

Thank you to Trollbeads for sponsoring today’s post! As always, all thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.

Transitioning Your Wardrobe for Spring

When I left for Charleston, South Carolina a few weeks ago, it felt like I was living in a never ending winter wonderland here in New York. Though there’s still snow on the ground as I write this, I don’t think I’ve ever been happier to see dead grass and mud breaking through the previously blanketed grounds. Spring isn’t here quite yet, but the end of winter is officially in sight!

Also, can we take a moment to address the fact that it’s almost April already? How in the world…

Since I’ve been traveling almost nonstop since January, the past few months have completely flown by. The jet setting lifestyle was definitely starting to catch up to me though, and I’m happy to be getting settled back into my routines at home for a bit now.

One of the first things that I’m doing is of course reorganizing my closet for the new season. Every year, I’m eagerly awaiting the springtime…not just because of the warmer weather, but also because it’s one of my favorite seasons to dress for. The temperatures are oh so perfect, almost never bordering on either too cold or too hot. It’s a godsend around here, since we’re usually enduring one extreme or the other.

In the spirit of doing a bit of spring cleaning and prepping my closet for the new season, I want to share with you guys a few of my favorite ways of transitioning your wardrobe for spring. I swear these tips will be game changers for the next few months!

More Florals

Florals. I swear it’s one spring trend that will never die…and thank goodness, right? I can’t help but love floral pieces this time of the year, and I’ll absolutely be adding a few more to my closet in the upcoming months. I especially adore the set I’m wearing in these photos!

The Perfect Accessories

I have to admit, I haven’t always been that interested in accessories. Lately though, after investing in a few quality pieces, I’m a total convert — especially when it comes to great jewelry. Finding jewelry that both holds special meaning to me and elevates my outfit is super important. I don’t really buy low end pieces anymore, and instead I focus on items that are timeless and that I know will last for years to come.

One brand that I am totally obsessing over right now is Trollbeads. Their beautiful beads allow you to customize and add to the bracelets over time, making these pieces personalized and tailored to suit your own style. I have two bracelets right now from their Falling In Love collection, and I seriously cannot wait to add more (both beads and bracelets).

(I’m literally shopping for more beads on their website as I write this post 😂).

I remember when I was a little girl having a charm bracelet that my mom customized for me, and I was always so proud to wear it because each charm had a special meaning. The same goes for these beads. My peach bead symbolizes calm & balance, and the minty turquoise bead symbolizes courage & hope. So cool, right?

I’ll definitely be adding onto these bracelets in the next few months, and I plan on them becoming everyday type pieces that I wear on a regular basis…they’re just so beautiful and personal, which is the #1 thing I look for in my jewelry!

New Hemlines

Is anyone else all about trying new hemlines this season? I love the high to low look (i.e. this skirt), and I definitely want to find more ways to play with that trend this spring.

Pastels (Of Course…)

Similar to florals, I’m convinced that the pastels are never going away. I eagerly embrace this trend every spring, and I can’t wait to get my hands on some new lilac or mint colored pieces.

Feminine Touches

Last but not least, spring is one of my favorite times to embrace my more feminine sense of style. Florals, pastels, and ruffles make this all too easy — and I love it!

What are your favorite spring trends? Are there any items you want to add to your wardrobe this upcoming season?
