The Stories Behind my Four Favorite Pieces of Jewelry

If you’ve had the chance to peruse my ever-growing library of fashion content, you may have noticed that I’m not typically one for flashy jewelry. I love a statement necklace just as much as the next girl, don’t get me wrong. However, I have a few staple pieces that hold a lot of meaning to me and that I wear almost every day.

Try to spot them in the next outfit post I publish 😉

Anyways, I thought it’d be fun to give you guys a rundown of the pieces that you’ve probably already seen on me and will continue to see for a long time to come:

1. MY INFINITY RING

My black and white diamond infinity ring is hands down the piece of jewelry that I wear the most. In fact, it’s very rare that you’ll catch me without it. This piece is so special to me, because Richard gave it to me on my first birthday that I spent with him four (!!) years ago. I remember when I first saw it, I was surprised by the black diamonds, but they have definitely grown on me. I’m sad because one of the diamonds actually just fell out, but I’m still going to keep wearing it until I get it fixed.

2. MY “DOG TAG” NECKLACE

Okay, they’re definitely not dog tags because they’re so dainty and small, but I don’t know what else to call them. You may not have noticed this necklace on me before though, simply because it’s so tiny! I also like to layer this piece with chokers and other necklaces, too (however, you can see it best in this photo). This necklace has special meaning to me just like my infinity ring, because I got it as a gift from R. for our fourth anniversary. One tag has “H ♥ R” on it, and the other has “11-9”, which is the day that we started dating back in 2012 (!!). It’s hard to make out these details in pictures, since the engraving is delicate and the silver is reflective, but it’s there!

3. MY LOCKET

My silver locket is the piece that I’ve had the longest out of my four favorites, and I received it as a birthday gift many years ago from my aunt. Inside, it has small pictures of me and my mom. I also have another locket like this that my mom gave me, but I wear this one most often, since it’s very plain on the outside and goes with pretty much anything I’m wearing (the other one has words on it, but I still love it). This piece is so special to me because of how much I love my mom!

4. MY OTHER BLACK AND WHITE DIAMOND RING

Again, I don’t quite know how to describe this ring, other than by saying that it’s black and has white diamonds in it. This piece is the newest out of all of these four though, and my mom bought it for me just a few years ago in St. Barts. I saw it and knew that it was the perfect complement to my infinity ring, so that’s why I wear it so often. I almost always wear these two rings together, and typically have them on every day.

Do you have any favorite pieces of jewelry? Anything that’s extra meaningful or has a unique story? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
