In my household, Labor Day is typically reserved for boating and cook outs. It’s a fun day to kick back and relax with family before the school year really kicks in. However, this year was unique because I spent it at the New York State Fair — at a Nick Jonas concert nonetheless!
While I had planned to do an outfit post feat. cotton candy and other fair favorites (ferris wheel anyone?), I ended up spending the whole day in Chevy Court saving my seat for the concert at 6 p.m. People had actually camped out the night before, and it was a lot more crowded than I had anticipated. Regardless, we got great seats (aka I didn’t have to look at the big screen to see Nick’s face).
Oh, and I just so happened to be standing next to the tour bus when Nick left and when he was looking out the window he waved to me! I may have screamed just a bit (aka as if axe man were chasing me), but hey, sometimes you just can’t help yourself.
So overall takeaway: it’s worth standing (& sweating) in the 80+ degree sun all day as long as you get to meet or make contact with the performer.
Anyways, back to real life today *teardrop falls*. Hope you enjoyed this little snippet into my long weekend, and tune in Friday morning for a really exciting surprise! We’re doing something on TBC that we’ve never done before, and I can’t wait to share.
P.S. Sorry for the lower-quality iPhone/digital cam. photos — I didn’t want to risk losing or damaging my DSLR 🙂
Happy hump day!
xx,
Holly
