Why Make DIY Sugar Scrub?

Before we get into the details, you may be wondering about the benefits of sugar scrub and why you should bother making a DIY sugar scrub when you could just buy it at the store.

We love DIY sugar scrub mainly because it’s easy to make, and also because it’s often more moisturizing than store bought brands.

Our recipe for coconut oil coffee scrub continues to be one of our top posts year after year for a good reason — it works!

Not only do DIY sugar scrubs do an amazing job at exfoliating, but the coconut oil contained in both this pumpkin sugar scrub and our coconut oil coffee scrub will leave your skin feeling so incredibly smooth when you hop out of the shower.

It’s a dual purpose product, and you don’t even need to leave your house to get it.

How to Use Sugar Scrub

Another great thing about this pumpkin spice sugar scrub recipe is that it is easy to use.

You don’t need a loofah or any kind of applicator to exfoliate with this DIY scrub.

Simply scoop out a handful of the scrub during your shower and apply, rubbing the scrub in gently in circular motions on arms, legs, and body.

Then simply rinse and enjoy your new, smooth skin!

You can also use this pumpkin sugar scrub as a lip scrub or hand scrub, too.

We DO recommend cleaning the floor of your shower and/or bathtub after using this pumpkin sugar scrub though, as the coconut oil can make the surface more slippery than normal!

Disclaimer: Before you try any skincare product, store bought or homemade, we ALWAYS recommend doing a patch text on a small section of your skin to make sure you don’t have a reaction (because having a reaction is always a risk you take with new skincare products!). You should also discontinue use of any of the DIY beauty recipes on this site if you experience any redness, irritation, etc.
