What Is a Hair Dryer Brush?
If you haven’t seen a hair dryer brush pop up on your feed yet, let’s get you up to speed.
Basically, a hair dryer brush is exactly what the name implies.
It’s an all-in-one hair brush and a blow dryer.
Shaped like a round hair brush, this tool plugs in just like a blowdryer and allows you to both blow dry and brush your hair simultaneously for the perfect at home hair blowout.
The idea behind the product is essentially to make the at home hair blowout that much easier and hassle free, since you now only need one tool instead of two.

What Are the Best Hair Dryer Brush Brands?
Hair dryer brushes have become popular recently, and more and more brands have clamored to come up with their own version of this innovative hair tool.
One of the most raved about hair dryer brushes is of course the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer.
Because you can find this blow dryer brush one sale for under $50 at some retailers, this is of course one of the most popular models and likely what you’ve seen advertised on social media.
There are quite a few complaints about the brush breaking after only a few uses, but there are also many gleaming reviews of the product as well.
Drybar also offers a hair dryer brush of their own, which has some pretty good reviews.
That being said, the Drybar version is triple the price of the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer.
Though the Revlon One-Step is probably the most popular blow dryer brush on social media, I chose to personally try out the Hot Tools blow dryer brush.
With over 10,000 reviews on Amazon, I had a good feeling about this product before I purchased it just by checking out what other customers had said.
I haven’t seen many people review or discuss the Hot Tools blow dryer brush on social media, but it comes in at around the same price point as the Revlon blow dryer brush making it a solid competitor to this popular model.
Keep reading to see if the Hot Tools blow dryer brush lived up to my expectations and the many remarkable reviews I’d read online.
Hot Tools Blow Dryer Brush Review
Having never tried a hair dryer brush before, I had no idea what to expect when I first unboxed my Hot Tools Professional 24k One Step blow dryer brush.
I will say that I love my hot tools curling iron, so I did already have an idea of the brand and the quality of product that I was expecting though.
I’m going to share a full outline below of how to use the Hot Tools blow dryer brush, but if you’re looking for a quick answer on whether this hair dryer brush is really worth the price tag or not…
I will tell you right now that I love this hair tool.
I normally don’t bother blow drying my hair at all, but I’ve come to love using this product thanks to how soft and styled my hair looks after using it.
Since I have fine hair, I’m able to do an at home hair blowout in about 10 minutes with this blow dryer brush.
I’ve honestly never been able to get my hair looking so beautifully styled prior to using the Hot Tools blow dryer brush (even when I straighten my hair, it can end up looking kind of flat), so I’m very impressed with the product overall.
It also has multiple settings just like a blow dryer, so you can choose how strong you want the hot air to come out based on your hair type or what style you’re trying to achieve.
If you’ve been hesitant to invest in a hair dryer brush or haven’t been sure which brand pull the trigger on, I would definitely recommend the Hot Tools One Step Blowout since it’s worked very nicely for me.
How to Blowout Hair at Home With the Hot Tools Blow Dryer Brush
Get the most out of this hair tool by following my simple tips below for an easy at home hair blowout.
1. Start With a Heat Protectant Spray
First and foremost, you’ll want to make sure you start off by spraying your hair with heat protectant spray.
Since you’re going to be using heat on your hair to blow dry it, this is an essential step in using any hair dryer brush.
This heat protectant spray is my personal favorite, since it not only protects your hair but also helps to detangle it at the same time (which is perfect for when you’re using a hair dryer brush!).
2. Brush Your Hair
After I use my heat protectant/detangler, I like to go in and brush through my hair with my blow dryer brush prior to turning it on.
This gets rid of any tangles and makes it easier to manage once you turn the tool on.

3. Turn on the Heat
The next step is to turn on the hair dryer brush, and start slowly working your way through sections of your hair until it’s dry.
I like to move through each section from root to tip, and curl the bottoms of my hair in by twisting the brush inward as I get to the bottom of each section of hair.
This helps achieve a similar affect as if I had straightened it, but my hair ends up having even more volume at the roots when I use the hair dryer brush.
4. Finish With Shine Spray
This last step is optional, but once my hair is dry I always go in with my favorite shine spray to complete the look.
Check out the pictures below to see the finished product after using my Hot Tools blow dryer brush for yourself.
Keep in mind, all I did was use my blow dryer brush following the above steps.
Overall, I’d say this is a total win and will likely become my go to hairstyle!
