Getting Back Into Reading With The Country Guesthouse

This post on how to get back into reading is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com on behalf of Harper Collins. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

Near the end of 2019, I finally made it a priority to learn how to get back into reading.

Though an avid reader since childhood, consistently being able to devour new books is a luxury that’s ebbed and flowed throughout my life depending on the severity of my schedule and commitments over the years.

Having ramped up my travel plans lately, it’s actually been a convenient time to learn how to get back into reading again though.

Whether I’m killing time in flight or relaxing on the beach, reading is my favorite way to escape for a moment.

The Country Guesthouse Robyn Carr

Speaking of an escape, the most recent book I’ve finished is an incredible new novel called The Country Guesthouse.

This book details the story of Hannah Russell, a young woman caught in a hopeless relationship and unsatisfying career.

Hannah’s whole world is flipped upside down though when her best friend unexpectedly passes away and leaves Hannah guardian of her five-year-old son, Noah.

Seeking to get to know Noah better and establish her role as a new mother, Hannah rents a lake house in Colorado for a few weeks.

Little does she know the connection she and Noah will form with the owner of the property, Owen Abrams (and even his great dane, Romeo!).

Not only is this story of recovery in the midst of a terrible tragedy endearing, but there’s also a hint of danger that is sure to keep you on your toes throughout the book.

There’s also a number of charming characters that really bring the story alive, like Owen and Noah.

Their bond is adorable, and I love how Owen and Noah both help each other to heal from previous traumas (you’ll have to read the book to find out more about Owen!).

Written by #1 New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr, The Country Guest House is overall a fun, romantic read that’s perfect for any of your winter travels (or even to curl up with at home).

After all, it only took me two days to finish this story…it was that addicting!

How to Get Back Into Reading Again

I guess it proves that I know how to get back into reading, even after taking a bit of a break.

The key to getting back into reading is simple though.

Find a great book like The Country Guesthouse and run with it.

If you’d like to read The Country Guesthouse too, you can purchase it on Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

Something lighthearted and easy to whip through always encourages me to keep picking up new books and reading new stories.

I think the next one I choose will be another Robyn Carr novel now that I’ve enjoyed this one so much!

Have you ever had to learn how to get back into reading again? What’s your favorite book you’ve read lately?
