Powdered Sunscreen is the Bomb Dot Com

As much as it pains me to admit, I’ve never been very committed to wearing sunscreen. Sure I’ve shaped up in the past few years, but it’s evident I’ve already done a good deal of damage. I even remember one traumatic vacation where a small section of my skin was actually scabbing, not blistering, as a result of a serious sunburn. Not okay. The good news though is that using sunscreen daily can actually help reverse past damage by alleviating the body from having to fight UV rays and free radicals 24/7. At the risk of sounding a bit vain, I’m all about reversing that damage and abolishing a few future wrinkles. Oh and the obvious one: f*** skin cancer. There’s just one problem. Doesn’t everyone kind of have a secret hate for sunscreen? Not only does it smell super artificial and chemical-y, but it’s oily AF. I mean, come on.…

The Best Damn $5 Shamp/Conditioner (SULFATE FREE!!!)

So lately I’ve been having some major hair probs. Okay maybe not major, but I’ve been really trying to figure out a system to detox my locks and wean myself off of my typical daily wash. I don’t know about ya’ll, but if I go two days without washing, I basically can’t go out in public. Am I being a little dramatic? Of course. But is it seriously frustrating to feel a bit greasy after skipping one shamp? Absolutely. Not to mention, I’m an obsessive label checker and have been getting pretty tired of having to look up a majority of the components in my hair care products. It’s the same deal with food. It’s so so so so so important to know both what we’re putting in and on our bodies. So, when I was perusing the aisles of my local drugstore, I was thrilled to stumble upon this little gem: Renpure Originals’…

Boots No7 Makeup Haul

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you’ve all found your way to a quaint little brunch with the amazing women in your lives. I’ll be celebrating with my mom at this teeny, tiny French restaurant in our area that serves the BEST crepes…ever. Wrapping up the week with my best friend/total role model calls for a little indulgence, right? The thing I’m second most excited for? To use some of my favorite new beauty products. A few weeks ago, I came home to visit one last time before the end of the semester. It was a great way to refresh and recharge before finals week, but…I left all of my makeup at home. Let me restate: I left ALL of my makeup at home. Keep in mind I didn’t bring my car up to school with me either, so making the trip to ULTA (30 min. drive, ugh) wouldn’t have been an easy feat. Luckily, the bookstore…

Evian Facial Spray Review

This past week has been insane. With finals rapidly approaching + the warm weather in full swing, there’s so much to do and absolutely no time to do it. Plus I’ve totally got a case of spring fever. I’ve also become a huge iced coffee addict since the weather has warmed up, cause caffeine + sugary french vanilla sweetness = happiness. I’ll definitely be looking into some healthier alternatives once I get through finals week. Let me know if you guys would be interested and I’ll share some! I feel like there’s so much to catch ya’ll up on since I haven’t posted in over a week. UGH. I’ve been dedicating most of my time to an exciting new venture, which I’ll cue you all in on soon! But…I just invested in a new blog planner, so regular posting schedule here I come. Anywhoo, let’s talk about my newest obsession (much healthier than iced coffee,…

My Morning Routine

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen my #ITGTopShelfie. For those of you who don’t keep up with Into the Gloss (and you SO should), this is a chance for readers to be featured on the site by entering pics of their favorite products on their shelf. And it’s as simple as ‘gramming a quick pic and tagging #ITGTopShelfie and @intothegloss. I’ve been thinking about sharing some of my routines with you guys for awhile now, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to go into depth on some of my favorite beauty products that help me look fresh, even on the earliest of mornings. I do enjoy a lazy Sunday here and there, but I’m actually a morning person at heart. However, this doesn’t mean I don’t still need a little beauty pick-me-up. I tend to go for a natural look, especially if I’m waking up…

How to Hydrate (Your Skin, Duh) With Organic Oils

Powered by BrandBacker Remember that time when I said I was looking forward to treating myself to a spa day over spring break and to look for a little posty post followup? Well…life kind of got in the way of those plans…that is until Radha Beauty sent me their organic argan and coconut oils. I’ve heard a lot of great things about argan oil, especially those that are organic and cold pressed. In fact, people like it so much that it’s often referred to as “liquid gold”. I’d never tried argan oil until now but, let me tell you, I’m a HUGE fan now. I totally get why people are obsessing over this moroccan import. It’s uber moisturizing, yet lightweight and non-greasy. Hard to believe, huh? It’s the real deal. Don’t believe me? FOX News Magazine had the opportunity to talk to cosmetics expert Marla Malcolm Beck, the CEO and co-founder of Bluemercury.com and…

My Favorite Lip X Bedroom Sneak Peek

In my blogging career thus far, I’ve been hesitant to share my personal life with my readers. What can I say? I like to keep people guessing. However, I thought it’d be fun to do a little sneak peek into my room and highlight a few of my favorite things. Revlon Matte Pink Pout 002 First and foremost, let’s talk about my newest obsession — bubblegum lips. I know, sounds so first grade right? I was (and still kind of am) all about my bubblegum Smackers. That’s not what I’m talking about here though. Spring feels so close within reach, so I’m integrating brighter colors into my wardrobe and beauty routines one step at a time. So, a fun lip like Revlon’s Matte Pink Pout felt like a natural choice to brighten up my look. TIP: Go easy on the rest of your makeup when trying the “pink pout”. All you need is…
