Now that the Thanksgiving leftovers are officially devoured, I am so ready for the holiday season! Egg nog and Christmas cookies are, until Dec. 26, forever on my mind. This year, I’m going to attempt to not only be more festive than ever, but also test some new recipes and party tricks. This includes festive foods and drinks, which can not only be delicious to consume, but fun to prepare! Who knows though, maybe that’s just my serial DIY persona coming out. Regardless of how great or little pleasure you take in prepping for holiday parties and family gatherings, this refreshment is so chic, yet easy to make. Also, keep in mind that this is a skinny beverage, containing much less calories than a holiday cocktail. Here’s what you need:  Measurements (1 serving):  1 1/3 cups cranberry juice 2/3 cup perrier lime sparkling water 1/4 pear 1 lime slice Directions:  1) Cut 1/4…

From my Instagram posts, some of you may have put together that I was in Fort Meyers last week. I can truly say it was a vacation much needed, and am so excited to share in these upcoming weeks what I’ve been working on! For now though, here’s a recap of my adventures and some suggestions for the next time you visit Fort Meyers, Florida: I didn’t have the chance to eat at this taco shack at Fort Meyers Becah, but I wanted to capture it anyways. I love the “Keep Calm and Taco On” sign! Ever had homemade organic gelato? Well let me tell you, it’s a must. Adelheidi’s Organic Sweets in Naples, Florida is both delicious and health conscious. In addition to gelato, the shop offers a variety of organic candies, which you can enjoy at a quaint table for two. What’s a trip to Florida without the beautiful palms? I love…

They say it’s the little things that count, and I couldn’t agree more. Stockings are so much fun both to put together and to open. Here are some of my favorite ideas for this season! 1. World Market Mini Journals – These mini journals are so cute. They’re a great idea for a travel-themed stocking or the aspiring journalist. 2. Knitted Leg Warmers – I am so in love with leg warmers. They’re a perfect, yet fashionable solution to cold winter weather. 3. Elephant Luggage Tag – Here’s another great gift for the travelista. It’s practical, but still super cute. 4. Gold-Flecked Feather Ornament – Holiday ornaments can be such a special gift. Try these chic gold-flecked feathers from Anthropologie for a memorable stocking stuffer. 5. Travel Coffee Tumbler – Anyone can use another coffee tumbler, and I love the sassy cheetah print of this PINK mug. Teavana also has a selection of great travel tumblers that keep drinks hot or cold…

So, I was casually scrolling through my Twitter feed when I saw that Elle magazine had posted a link to a workout that will cancel ALL Thanksgiving day splurges. Naturally, I was intrigued, but mostly suspicious. Let me tell you, this @#&! is the real deal. I busted my butt testing this workout on Thanksgiving day and was ready to keel over by the end. When I first reviewed the workout I thought, “Oh, only twenty minutes? Pffff…this should be easy.” Guess again. “What makes this routine so effective, though it’s just 20 minutes (yup!), is that it has you switch up your exercise every 60 seconds. This maximizes the amount of fat burned, which stimulates lean muscle building, and in turn, enhances the body’s ability to burn more calories even after the workout,” author Megan Cahn said. Try swapping out your normal routine for this refreshing, fast-paced workout. Though it’s strenuous, the minutes will fly…

I think most females would agree that men are so difficult to shop for (sorry guys!)…at least that’s how I feel. After browsing the web for hours on end, here are some of my top picks for him this season: P.S. **Stay tuned for next week’s stocking stuffers gift guide! 1. Nike+ SportWatch GPS – Okay, I’m obsessed with all Nike watches. They’re a great tool, which allows the user to track his distance and calories while also setting goals for future workouts. Basically, it’s the perfect gift for any athletic man in your life. 2. UGG Australia ‘Ascot’ Suede Slipper – Anyone who’s tried on a pair of UGG slippers will probably tell you that they never wanted to take them off. For New Yorkers, warmth is oh so important during the holidays, so consider giving him this luxurious gift! 3. Flannels – What boy/man couldn’t use more flannels?….The answer is none. 4. Rad Plaid Bow Tie – Bow…

My house is already bustling with holiday excitement, which brings with it stress and high calorie, bikini busting anti-diets. There’s a million things to think about and twice as many distractions, so I thought I’d share some tips and tricks I use to stay motivated…
