Let’s dive into one of my favorite topics, shall we?
I’ll admit I’m a tad obsessed, and it’s not uncommon to find me romping around the house with the latest mud mask or blackhead strip plastered to my face. Trying products is genuine fun in my book (and believe me, I’ve tried a lot)!
Today though, I want to hone in on a sector of the skincare market near and dear to my heart, and that is…affordable skincare products. We’ve all had that devastating moment in Sephora where we lock eyes with a small jar of some fancy looking skincare item, just knowing in our hearts how transformational it must be for our skin.
Of course, the only catch is that it’s $65.
Can you say, “BYE Felicia”?
There are some products that I’ll splurge for, but it’s not an everyday occurrence. Instead, I like to experiment with some of the more affordable options on the line and level up a few notches/brands as I see fit.
Here are a few of my favorite finds that fit into this category:
I bought this mask at target a few months ago and am in love! I’m all about anti-aging products lately (#prevention), and what’s even better is that this mask clocks in at just $14.99. It can be tough to find a good preventative product at a price like this, and I adore the scent too.
I haven’t experimented a lot with facial spritzers in the past, but I really like this product in particular that I recently got sent to me in a Popsugar Must-Have Box. It contains peppermint essential oil, so it really clears out your lungs and refreshes your skin. Not to mention, I LOVE that a portion of the proceeds from sales of this brand benefit animal rescue.
Until I found this product, I almost never used a moisturizer. I just couldn’t find a brand I liked that didn’t make my skin feel too oily. This nourishing night cream is a bit thick, but I’ve never feel greased up after applying. I also love that I can actually feel the difference in the morning, and that it doesn’t just dry up completely overnight. Overall, it’s been a total skin saver (especially during the cold weather), and it also won’t break the bank since it’s a drugstore beauty buy.
This last skincare find is a bit odd, but I’m nevertheless obsessed. I’ve been very picky about my deodorants lately after realizing all the nasty a** toxic ingredients included in traditional brands, and I love that this Norwex deodorant stick has natural odor protection with sage and tea tree oil. It also doesn’t contain aluminum or parabens, so I actually feel good about putting it on my skin. It’s definitely a product worth looking into if you’re interested in incorporating more natural beauty products into your regime (which I highly recommend!).
What’s your favorite affordable beauty buy? Anything you like to splurge on?
