Lately, I've been very into the color black. Shoes, jackets, sweaters, you name it. All black everything, except for a bit of gray here and there. Overall though, I'm really digging the neutral colors.
But what I don't love? Expensive, break the bank clothing. I read some popular fashion blogs and I'm always like, that's $50 for a t-shirt.
Thanks, but no thanks.
A lot of the items I buy I only end up wearing once anyways. It's terrible — I know — but I've got a V short attention span when it comes to trends. I try something, and then it's on to the next one. Gotta keep moving, ya know?
But what I love about these black essentials? They're kind of timeless — or at least most of them anyways. These pieces can go with just about anything, but they aren't memorable enough to make you look like a total #outfitrepeater. Love it.
So, let's get down to the nitty gritty, shall we?
I love a good biker jacket. But here's the thing...I don't typically invest in quality leather because, like I said, I get bored. This number from Macy's is perfect though, because it looks convincing enough and only costs $43.99. The faux fur collar is also detachable, which makes it even more versatile and suitable for several seasons to come.
I recently heard some girlfriends of mine talking about how much they disliked plain black jeans, and I was a bit appalled. I have to agree though, a good pair of distressed black jeans definitely take it up a notch.
I also just realized that these jeans are totally not under $50! Whoops...still not gonna change the title of this post though, haha. Either way, they're still cute & possibly worth the splurge.
Oh how we love our jumpsuits lately. There's lots of fun patterns out there right now, but my recommendation is to stick with this all-black piece. It'll still be classy, even when the trend dies down.
What are your favorite trends right now? Are you digging blacks right now too, or looking towards the bright spring pastels?
