If you've been following along on Instagram or Snapchat (@hollyhabeck), you know I spent this past weekend in one of my favorite places on earth -- New York City. A blogging conference was my excuse for the weekend getaway, but I had/created the opportunity to do a lot more than just learning/networking. I'll share more about exploring the city and the conference later this week!
The photos above were taken in literally five minutes as my blogging BFF Ruya and I walked from our hotel to the conference. And it was humid. Just thinking of it makes my upper lip sweat a little. The dress code for the conference was "collegiette chic", which felt a little vague. So, I opted for a fun take on business casual by pairing this fitted navy dress with cheetah print flats. And I love that the toe is pointed. It helps the wild print to feel little more sophisticated. I've also been (and always will be) a fan of monogram necklaces. They're very chic...and dare I say girly? I'm not known for my overly girly style, but this accent is perfect.
Has anyone else been to a blogging conference? Thoughts? Takeaways? I'm dying to hear!
P.S. Not all items are exact, but I tried my best to find look alike shoppables below!
With the athleisure trend in full swing, I'm really vibing on casual pieces lately. I finally invested in a pair of Adidas sneakers a few months ago, which have really stepped up my game. And I don't even care that everybody and their mother has a pair at this point, because they're SO. DAMN. COMFORTABLE.
Seriously, just try 'em on. This pair is loaded with memory foam, so it's legit like you're walking on a cloud. I straight wear them at least a few days per week, simply because they're so comfy and go with pretty much anything.
Thank the freakin' Lord, spring is finally in the air. Winter has been treacherous around these parts, but it was (almost) all worth it when I got to pull out my favorite polka dotted number this past weekend. I'm already feeling a major purging of my winter closet coming on, and I absolutely can't wait to break out more of my spring pieces.
In the spirit of the warmer weather, I want to share with you guys five trends I am loving this season in hopes of helping you perfect your spring wardrobe fast. I swear, just grab the below essentials, and you'll be up to speed in no time.
