From Winter to Spring: How to Transition Your Wardrobe

Wow, it’s been awhile since we’ve had an outfit post on the blog! I was really not feelin’ the winter vibes for the past few months (I’d rather stay inside, ha!) but am inspired to start posting some more fashion-related content now that the weather has become a bit more bearable. I also just started working with a photographer, and I am so in love with the results! I love, love, love Richard helping me out with the blog, but working with a professional is great, especially since I’m not always super comfortable in front of the camera. Anyways, today’s look is one of those which we shot a few weeks ago, and while I wasn’t thinking too hard when I put it together, I realized after checking out the photos that it’s kind of perfect for transitioning from winter to spring. SO, while I was originally just going to…

New Year’s Eve Outfit Ideas

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday! I’m gearing up for the New Year and starting to solidify some resolutions, but my NYE plans are still up in the air. SO, I’m keeping my options open with these four looks. Which one is your fave? xx, Holly

How the Eff to Rock: Boyfriend Jeans

Boyfriend jeans are a total staple in my wardrobe. I mean they’re kind of no-brainer, right? They’re cute, comfy, and can even double as “eating pants” (HA, if you love the occasional Panera carb binge as much as I do, you know those skinny jeans just don’t cut it sometimes). Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when I found a pair at Old Navy for half off on Black Friday. I usually never go out shopping on that day one day of the year, and I waited until like 4 p.m. (basically everything good should be gone by this point). Somehow I still managed to snag a few goodies. Though I’m loving boyfriend jeans more than ever, I’ve noticed that I rarely see college students rocking them. Instead, it’s typically a Kardashian or pro fashion blogger that I’m gleaning inspiration from. And honestly, I think a big part of this…

Last-Minute Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Thanksgiving is always a big event for my family, because it’s one of the few days of the year that we all make it a top priority to get together. I haven’t decided what I’m wearing yet, but I thought I’d gather some inspiration below. Wishing you all a lovely Thanksgiving and a successful Black Friday! xx, Holly

June Favorites…

It’s been a rough few days since getting my wisdom teeth pulled on Thursday but, between binge watching The Real Housewives of Orange County & Supernatural (we all have our guilty pleasures), it’s given me some downtime to pull together a few of my favorite trends this month. Sunhat’s were a given, right? (I’ve worn them here, here and here). Buuuut, once my chipmunk cheeks subside, I can’t wait to slip into a floral maxi and some sexy denim pumps. I’m really into mixing feminine and edgy pieces lately, which makes for a fun and unique vibe. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I’ll probably still be bedridden and sipping on milkshakes for the next few days, but my health and fitness routine should be back into full swing next week. I also have some great workouts and recipes ready to go, so stay tuned for that good stuff in the upcoming…

Festival Season

While I was a little disappointed to retire some of my sweaters this week, I’m making up for it with a bit of retail therapy. Festival season is officially upon us, which means it’s time to break out some of my favorite summery pieces. I channeled Cali vibes last weekend, but it’s time to invest in a few staple bohemian items to complement my more traditional wardrobe. Here are a few of my favorite picks, which are perfect for festival season: SUNNIES: I’m ashamed to admit it, but I only own one pair of sunglasses (WTF?! I know.) A cool pair of shades is an absolute must. I’m loving the round glasses especially, which are totally beach babe material. Suggestion: Don’t splurge on a trendy accessory (if you’re on a college-girl budget, like me)! I really liked these Urban Outfitters glasses (pictured above) when I first saw them, but I fell in love when I realized they were…

Out And About

Here I am all ready for spring…and guess what happens. It snows. ON EASTER. Let’s just say I was not a happy camper. I wore this long, lightweight Cali-inspired tank on Saturday when the weather was much warmer. It was great to be able to throw on my sunglasses too, which I don’t really wear during the gloomy winter weather. I’m really into the West Coast vibe lately. Maybe it’s just because I’m craving summer, but ripped light wash jeans and Ray Bans are my new best friends. I also pulled out my ombre Jessica Simpson pumps (look alike here) for the first time this year. I love mixing casual, distressed items with higher end pieces for a boho chic combo. Happy Monday! xx, Holly
