Favorite Fall Sunnies That Won’t Break the Bank

Thank you FlashFrames for sponsoring this post. Spot the style and get the frames with FlashFrames, the easiest way to get the eyewear you want to feel stylish and confident.  NYFW may have come and gone, but the trends that emerge from the world’s most elite fashion bloggers and celebrities every year of course still live on. While I almost always envy the majority of these fashion queens’ ensembles, I’ve dialed in on sunglasses this fall.  There’s something about a good pair of sunnies that can totally transform and upgrade an outfit. They can take blah/average look to total fashion killer in just a hot sec. But the only thing I don’t love? The high price tag that’s typically associated with unique and trendy frames. Anybody can buy a pair of oversized Kim K superstar sunglasses from the nearest drugstore, but what fun is that? And the alternative of splurging…

Fall Finds Under $50

It’s been a hot second since we last chatted, hasn’t it? There’s been lots of schtuff going on over at TBC, both blog related and not, and I’ve been going nonstop for about 12 hours a day between classes, meetings, blog related work, and an internship.  *sighs* Being busy is overrated, right? I just want to create new content to share with you gems, get through this new addition to my bookshelf, and binge watch Vampire Diaries. Is that too much to ask for? However, there’s a few really exciting collabs coming up later this month that I truly cannot wait to share! I’m also trying to be more active on Insta when I’m not writing here, so definitely check that out if you’re looking for a healthy dose of inspirational quotes and pretty pictures between posts.  Also, what do you guys think of these fall finds? I’m obsessed with all of them and…

5 Summer Wardrobe Must-Haves

I recently wrote about 5 Summer Lip Colors and Makeup Ideas for Every Budget, and so it would only be right to couple that with some recommendations for your summer wardrobe, right? After all, every season is unique, but summer holds a special place in many of our hearts. I, like many of you probably, have countless cherished memories of experiencing summer as a kid, enjoying everything the season has to offer (particularly carnivals, hot dogs, fireworks, and swimming pools). Now that I’m a bit older, I’m happy to say that the magic hasn’t worn off…but I’m not so comfortable running around in basketball shorts and swim goggles anymore, ha! Here are a few of my must-haves to keep in the spirit of the season, but still look (and feel) like an adult (most of the time): 1. Bold Patterns When it comes to fashion, I absolutely love bold pieces. Whether…

How to Master the Dressy Casual Look

I’m so excited to share another look from Tobi with you guys today! First of all, thank you SO much for the positive feedback from last week’s sequined dress post. Your comments were very sweet, and made my day (many were on Insta, btw). This week, I’m sharing my second collab with Tobi in this “Sweet Intentions Sheath Dress”. When I was picking out clothes to receive from the company, I fell in love with this dress pretty quickly. The color is gorgeous, and I’m obsessed with the deep v-neck. It’s cute, right? Anyways, what I wanted to focus on with this style is mastering the dressy casual look. When I first saw the dress, I assumed that the look I’d create would be anything but casual. Funny enough though, I couldn’t resist grabbing a jean jacket and white sneakers. I love contrast. Actually, I love the unexpected (at least when…

4 Reasons to Rock a Sequin Dress (AND How make it Classy, NOT Tacky)

I think a lot of people nowadays have a love/hate relationship with sequins (myself included). Worn in the wrong context, they can look tacky and out of place. But fab numbers like this Starstruck Sequin Shift Dress from Tobi? There’s nothing better, really. In fact, when Tobi reached out to me to collab (there’s two more amazing looks coming to the blog soon), this dress was the first item on my wish list. The green and blue hues and scooped back are everything I’ve been looking for in a party dress. It’s fun, right? And it’s pretty obvious from the photos that the dress is stunning, but here’s five more reasons you should implement sequins into your wardrobe this summer, plus a few tips: Reason #1: it screams confidence Like I said, sequins can go very right…or very wrong. If you’re bold enough to rock ’em (and rock ’em right,…

4 Reasons Why You Should Rock Neutral Colors This Spring

If you’ve seen this post, you guys know just how much I love pops of color. Specifically, there’s a special place in my heart reserved for bright and pretty pinks (as if you couldn’t figure that out from Insta). That being said, I don’t think that neutrals should be left in the dust when spring arrives, especially not for super overdone pastels. I am a sucker for a lilac blouse or light pink bag, just like any other girl this time of year, but why succumb solely to this one trend? It’s boring, and so predictable! There’s so many styles that get forgotten about during the spring, but today let’s talk about…*drumroll*…neutrals. What? You thought neutrals were only for the fall? Guess again, girl. Here’s five reasons you should totally consider implementing them into your spring wardrobe right now: 1. it’s Classy AF You guys may or may not know this,…

Office Glamour + Free Downloadable Internship Cheat Sheet

Okay, I seriously can’t contain my excitement for this post. It’s been a long time coming (we shot these photos over a month ago — hence the snow in the background!), but I truly am thrilled to finally share. If you read this post on transitioning your wardrobe between seasons, you already know that I’ve been working with an amazing photographer to really up the ante on my fashion posts. I couldn’t be happier with the results, and it’s been really fun sharing the looks with you guys so far! Anyways, this outfit…it was inspired by my recent internship hunt. Last year, I worked in a very casual office as a social media marketing specialist, but am expecting a more formal environment this year. However, I still think it’s V important to maintain your own unique style, even in a professional setting. So, that’s where this hot pink blazer comes in. You guys…
