Fall is in full swing here, and it has been cold…I even woke up to snow on my car last week.
WTF NY, WTF.
Luckily though, Popsugar recently sent me their latest Must-Have Box and, let me tell you, it is to die for – despite the fact that subscription boxes can be super hit or miss for me (anyone else?). There’s nothing I hate more than getting all excited about pretty package, just to be disappointed with what’s inside. It’s also hard for subscription box services to pick both cute and somewhat generic items that the majority of their subscribers will enjoy.
However, Popsugar killed it this month, because October’s Must-Have Box was totally on point. It even played a part in alleviating my unhappiness towards the cold weather.
Here’s a peek at what’s inside.
Morning Culture Rise and Shine Mug (Retail: $16)
This minimal mug was one of my favorite parts of the October Must-Have Box. It’s great quality and is totally Insta-worthy. Not to mention, it’s perfect for the cold weather!
My Cup of Cocoa Dark Drinking Chocolate (Retail: $4.99)
My second favorite part of this month’s Must-Have Box was obviously something involving chocolate (ha!). I haven’t had the chance to try this seemingly delicious hot cocoa yet, but I’m definitely excited about it. It’s perfect for the cold weather and really fits with the fall theme.
Power Your Happy Book by Lisa Sugar – Founder of Popsugar (Retail: $25)
Lisa Sugar’s new book Power Your Happy was another item in the box that I was super excited about. I haven’t started it yet, but I’m looking forward to learning some of her entrepreneurial tips and tricks as well as more about how she founded such a successful media outlet.
I love almost all makeup type products, so I was really happy to see this eraser in this month’s box. I’m not totally sold on it for taking off all of my makeup, but it’s definitely useful!
Given that it’s currently raining right now as I write, this Henri Bendel umbrella was a totally appropriate addition to the October Must-Have Box. It’s very fall themed, and I like that there was something practical included in this box.
Seeing as I just ran out of one of my favorite bath salts, this brown sugar vanilla bubble bath came just in time. It smells delicious and retails for much more than I would be willing to spend on a bath product normally, so I’m excited that it came in this box!
I feel like a liquid eye pen is something that almost anyone can appreciate, so I can see where Popsugar was going with this. However, I don’t really use liquid eyeliner that often, so this wasn’t one of my favorite elements of this month’s box.
Overall, October was a great month for the Popsugar Must-Have Box. It was definitely my favorite box I’ve received so far (see June and September), and I’m excited to see what they choose to include next!
Have you ever gotten a subscription box? What was your experience like? Love ‘em or hate ‘em?
